What is a caption text?
Caption text is brief description, heading, or title that identifier or introduces a document, graphic, photograph, or table.

Generic structure of caption:
1. The title
2. The lead
3. Section Heading

Language Features:
1. Exclamation
2. Question
3. Adjective Phrase
4. Personal Phrase

The social function of captions!
The social function of caption is helping the reader or viewer to understand information that may not be in a photo or a video.

Rule of Writing a caption?
Supply specific information (Answering 5W1H Question)
User present tense on the first sentence
Caption are written in a complete sentences
Clearly identify the people and location in the photo
Identify the person from left to right

How to a write caption text?
Observe the picture or video you will give the caption
Find out the message that will be sent from the picture before you write caption
Write sentence or phrase under the picture

Example of caption text!

In my opinion is that we must study hard to achieve our goals and get happiness, we will get the benefit from our work, Parents and friends will be happy if we get success.

Explanation Text : How Does Rain Happen

How Does Rain Happen We all know that rain is primary source of fresh water for most areas of the world, providing suitable condition for diverse ecosystems. Rain is water that descends from the sky through several processes until the rain occurs. Do you know how does rain happen? The phenomenon of rain is actually a water circle. The concept of water circle includes the sun heating the Earth’s water surface and causing the water surface to evaporate. Earth’s water includes water from lake, river, and ocean. Then, the water vapor experiences condensation and becomes condensed vapor.
